Would you give blood or register on the NHS Organ Donor Register? What about donating bone marrow? Do you think it’s right that people who have made themselves ill by smoking or drinking should be given transplants? What does your religion say about helping other people through donation? What about your friends – what do they think?
It’s difficult to convince people that donation is a good idea unless you know what they already think. People believe different things about donation and sometimes they believe things that aren’t necessarily true. These myths can prevent people from donating – and lead to sick people, who could otherwise have been helped, dying.
Why not have a chat with your friends or family and find out what they think? You could even do a survey to get a clear picture.
Play Donor Dash to get an idea of what you might find out.
Write a questionnaire to find out.
Run the survey.
