Step 1: Who are you trying to convince?
Different people have different attitudes to donation. This might be because of their age, or their background, or because of their personal experiences. Think about a group of people who you could target with messages to encourage them to donate. You can use a survey to find out more about what they think.

Your class – are you old enough to donate blood or bone marrow yet? What are your interests?

Older students – they might be old enough to give blood now. Why might they not want to?

Teachers – some teachers have probably given blood or are already on the NHS Organ Donor Register. How can you appeal to other teachers to think about helping?

The whole school – is it possible to talk to everyone in the school with an argument they will understand?
